Sheds can be a great thing to add to your property. They can be a place to store garden and other outdoor equipment, or even be a place to relax and do some other hobbies in. After you have decided what you want to use a shed for, then it's time to figure out how to get one in your yard! Here are the three ways to do that and what you might expect to have to pay for them!
Buy One Readymade-A kit from a big box store, or some other place, can come ready to assemble or pay for someone to do it. It will be put up quickly, but, you will be limited on style, headroom and windows. Prices start at about $1,000.00
Build it Yourself-Building one gives you control (if you think you know how to do it!). Materials will be about $3,000.00 for all new ones.
Have One Built-A custom shed requires the most time and money, but you'll have lots of options. You can add more windows, different types and sizes of doors, etc. Figure in approximate starting cost at $7,000.00.
Another thing you need to consider when you will be adding a shed is what your neighborhood says about storage buildings. Some sub divisions have guidelines and suggestions on what kinds (or not) of sheds you can have in your yard. Make sure you find these things out first, then find the one of your dreams!
