Have you got a lot of "irons in the fire" and need to get things done? Here are a few tips to get you started:
1. Outsource Tasks that Make You Miserable - Take shortcuts where you can. Hate cleaning? See about hiring someone just for a day a week. Is cooking it? Find shortcuts on meals like eating out certain times. Play to your strengths and don't have guilt for your shortcuts.
2. Use One Day a Week to Be Your Planning Day - Sunday can be a good day for planning the week ahead. If your Sundays are filled with family time and other activities, plan and prep another day (Saturday? Friday? Monday?) that works for you. When you take the time once a week, you will be ready for whatever else happens during the week.
3. Think of Your Space as a Tool and Organize Accordingly - Create spaces for your wallet, purse, shoes, keys, etc. and always put those things in those spaces. This will help when you are hurrying to get out the door and save time so you aren't searching (yet again) for your keys as you leave.
4. Divide and Conquer Chores - Write down your list of chores for the household and then split them between you, your partner and your kids. As our grandmothers always said, "many hands make light work".
