Did you hear? All white bathrooms are on their way OUT. If you fell into this trend, or if you have a dull, clinical bathroom, here are a few tips to help you to change the look ASAP.
Walls and Trim - Instead of bright white, choose a soft white or a white with a touch of color. Using an undertone of cream, pink, gray, lavender or even a green can warm up a stark white bathroom in no time.
Cabinet pulls and Fixtures - Chrome and nickle finishes can be cold and clinical. Gold tones, brass, bronze or even a deep charcoal can be more warm and inviting. Go with the same finish for all your fixtures for a unified look, however, a mixture of tones with a small amount of chrome or nickle can warm up the space.
Other Decor Items - Use a layered look of textures and finishes. For instance, a plant in a basket on a hard, shiny counter or shiny sconce on a matte wall. Maybe a plush, soft bath mat on a hard tile floor. These different finishes and textures combine to make a space feel more warm.
Any of these ideas can be used easily and with little cost. It won't take long at all for your stark, cold space to suddenly be warm and inviting!
