When we are renovating a home or a room in a home, designing the lighting is as important as choosing a wall color. Here are 3 things to keep in mind as you choose the fixtures and bulbs to illuminate your life!
Layering the Light - You need overhead or a bright light for overall lighting in a room, task lighting on a desk or for reading and accent lighting to set a mood. If you use these three in combination, you will all that you need in any room at a given time.
Colors that Calm - LED bulbs now come in a range of colors that you can use in accent lights in different rooms to set a mood. They are economical and will last a long time. Use warmer tones in a bedroom or quiet den, cooler tones for bathrooms and kitchens.
Easy Efforts - Use dimmer switches or remotes to control the lights with ease in a room so you can adjust for time of day or how you want to use a room.
Lighting can change a room entirely without breaking the bank!
