There is nothing that makes us think of spring more than flowers! They are the much welcomed color that comes after a long dreary winter. Even though it may still be a bit before we are fortunate to have them springing up everywhere, here are a few things to consider when adding flowers to our decor to bring some life back to a dull room.
Flamboyant Florals - You can always go all out when it comes to flowers! An accent wall with a beautiful floral wallpaper can dramatically change the feel of a room. Adding a huge, beautiful focal point of flowers in art can add a lot of color that you can pull accents out of subtly in a neutral room. Maybe a chair with a bold floral pattern or a pastel dresser with a stenciled floral pattern on it could do the trick. A big statement of flowers can sure liven up any space!
Forever Flowers - If you want some floral patterns to last in your decor, you can use silk flowers in different areas in a room, or display some beautiful floral china in a glass cabinet or hutch. What about an antique ceramic piece with a floral pattern? Using a few floral patterned throw pillows, curtains or other accessories can also add a romantic touch to any room that will last well past springtime!
Fresh Flowers - Of course, one of the best ways to add wonderful, vibrant florals is to add fresh cut flowers to your space. The wonderful smell of some and the exotic colors of others can immediately make you feel alive when you walk into a room.
I am so looking forward to spring!--Jen Lush
