Energy is on our tongues in conversation nearly all the time. We discuss what forms we need to use to power our world and we discuss how much or little we have of it to power our bodies. I want to talk about making the most out of our own personal energy.
Don't Waste Your Energy On...
Energy is a limited resource in our bodies for sure. Our bodies, minds and spirits can only keep going for so long, so our energy is a precious, non-sustainable energy and we need to treat it as such. If we are going to do that, we need to not waste it on:
ANGER - Being angry in general doesn't change things. If you are angry about something, do what you can to change it and if you can't, then, let it go.
BEING CRITICAL - When we are constantly negative towards others, we are constantly holding others to standards that for the most part we can't keep either, which in turn not only saps our physical energy but our spiritual energy as well.
SELF PITY - Constantly looking at all the negative in our own lives, doesn't help us see any positive anywhere. Don't waste your energy on feeling sorry for yourself.
LIVING IN THE PAST - There are no time machines to make things go backwards, so, dwelling on things that happened in the past has no useful reason. The past cannot be changed. All we have power over is what we do NOW.
Use Your Energy For...
Channel your energy into positive things for yourself and others.
HELP OTHERS - Use your energy to help someone else whenever you can. Not only does it lift your spirits (which can INCREASE your energy) it makes a difference to those around you that you help. Double whammies of good uses of your energy!
EDUCATE YOURSELF - Use your energy to learn new things, or to learn how to deal with something that has made you angry or upset. Learning about others, ourselves and the things around us give us new perspectives that we can use to grow and be happy in our lives.
SHOW YOUR LOVE - Make a point to use your energy to not just speak love to others, but to actually show them how much you love them. Actions truly speak louder than words and when you give out lots of love, you will certainly receive it back.
DO YOUR BEST WORK - Try your best to put your best work into your job, your home life or your school each and every day! This expense of energy will gain you more success in this life and possibly help others gain success in theirs because of your hard working spirit. When you do your best, you never have to look back with the regret of not trying.
Keep Your Energy at it's Best By...
Since we have a limited amount of energy each day in our bodies, we need to do everything we can to keep our energy levels at their best.
THROUGH HEALTHY LIVING/HABITS - Eating right, getting enough rest, exercise and doing things that are good for our bodies, will give us more physical energy. If we do things to feed our minds like doing puzzles, reading and learning something new our brains will keep their energy longer than if you don't and if you have good spiritual habits, your spiritual energy will be uplifted. It will help your attitude, your faith and your ability to live a loving and caring life for others as well as yourself.
THROUGH A POSITIVE LIFESTYLE - Our energy in general will be ever increasing if we choose to do things that are positive in our lives. Making choices to not hurt others, or to let go of when we have been hurt quickly can help our energy level keep from getting sapped when something happens in our lives. Looking for the morsel of good in a bad situation, or by making lemonade out of the lemons we are given are a few ways to keep a positive lifestyle. The more positive things you look for, the more you see and the less ugliness you focus on.
One of the best energy boosts we can do is to make the decision to CHOOSE HAPPINESS whenever we can. I know that there are times when we need true help with that, but, a lot of the time we can just make the choice to be angry and upset, or not. Choosing happiness not only makes our spirit feel uplifted, but, it also uplifts our minds and bodies.
So make the most of your Super Power, ENERGY...and use it for good, and not for evil!
Until Next Time!
