Exercise is something that sometimes can get lost when we have a busy schedule.  Here are a few ways to “sneak it in” when you can!

With Your Pets & Family – Walking is one of the best exercises you can do for your body–and it’s great for your pets too!  Take your pup for a walk and it will not only make them happy, but you will get some much needed movement in your life.  Add a few quick jogs in there when you can.  Fido will enjoy it, too.  If you don’t have a pet to walk, take your kids, spouse, friends or maybe a neighbor and just have a quick walk around the block.  It won’t take long, but, it will do a world of good for you and whoever accompanies you!

Household Chores – While you are working on cleaning your home, or some other chore you need to do, put some of your favorite music on and move your body a little more than necessary while you work!  Not only will the music lift your spirits, but, it might make a boring job go a lot faster!  It’s a win-win!

Running Errands for Work or Home – When you have to be out and about shopping, going to the bank or whatever other errands you need to run, add some of these extra exercise steps in:
1. If it’s a big store, walk the perimeter before you even start to shop.
2. Park farther away from the doors in the parking lot to add in some extra steps in an out of the building.
3. Don’t use the drive-thru.  This will add a lot more steps and will keep you out of the fast food line as well!

Here’s hoping you can increase your daily steps and begin to feel better, look better and be more healthy!
